Tattersall Maquinarias SA, of Santiago, delivered four heavy-duty forklifts in early February for use at the port serving Lirquén in the bay of Concepción in Chile's Bío Bío region.
The Hyster H360HD2 models have internal combustion engines, a lift capacity of 36,000 lb. (16,200 kg) and camera-monitor visibility apparatus.
Privately owned Puerto de Lirquén SA operates the region's multipurpose terminal in Lirquén and has infrastructure and equipment - including 11 other heavy-duty forklifts - to handle customer cargo, including shipments of cellulose.
Beyond its Santiago headquarters, Tattersall has Chilean mobile branches in Antofagasta, Copiapó, Talcahuano and Puerto Montt and a network of distributors throughout the country.
In addition to the Hyster line, Tattersall represents the Combilift and Mustang materials handling equipment brand and Watts brand tyres. The firm has marketed and leased equipment since 1972.
Gonzalo Perez is Tattersall Maquinarias general manager and Ingrid Inostroza is sales manager for industrial machinery. Tattersall Maquinarias also handles construction machinery and is a business unit of publicly traded, diversified holding company Empresas Tattersall SA.
