Thomas Lynch, a forklift driver from Spantek, emerged as the overall winner at the recent annual Lincoln County Industrial Managers Association Forklift Rodeo.
Robert Setzer, who works for Cargo Logistics, took second place. This is the first time that Cargo Logistics has competed in the rodeo.
Joel Retana from Husky Rack and Wire took third place.
The contest was held in the Gaston College parking lot in Lincolnton and organised by the Lincoln Economic Development Association which aims to create more and better jobs for the citizens of Lincolnton and Lincoln County and to promote a diversified tax base to provide needed community services.
Lincoln County manufacturing companies which participated included Cargo Integrated Logistics, Hydac, LeeBoy, American Woodmark, Tenowo, R.W. Garcia, Timken, Blum, Cataler, Spantek, Bosch, Husky Rack and Wire, Steele Rubber Products, Henkel and Active Concepts.
