SPEEDING PROBLEMS?
Unsafe speeds indoors?
Too slow outdoors?
Too fast around machinery?
Too slow between buildings?
Unsafe at high speeds when forklift is loaded?

Keytroller has speed saving solutions!

SPEED SAVER top speed controllers are designed for both---- internal combustion and electric forklifts.

SPEED SAVER top speed controllers are designed for both ----for cable type accelerators (SS-701) or electronic "fly by wire" accelerators (SSEL-701) .

Problem Example #1:

Plate glass manufacturer's forklifts are creating lots of damage when running at higher speeds---when loaded.

Request:

Client wants to slow down the forklifts when they are loaded---but still allowing them a higher set speed when unloaded.

Solution:
  1. Installed Keytroller SPEED-SAVER EL for electronic throttles which allows for 2 different speed settings.
  2. Hydraulic sensor installed in pressure line of forklift. Calibrated to 100# load. When load is above setpoint sensor outputs signal
  3. SPEED SAVER EL is calibrated to 2 different top speeds.
    • Speed #1: No signal (high top speed---traveling with NO load)
    • Speed #2: Signal present (low top speed----traveling with load aboard).

Problem Example #2:

Building material manufacturer's forklifts are dangerous when they are in a zone around production equipment.

Request:

Client wants to slow down the forklifts when they are in the production zone, then give them a higher set speed when outside of the production zone.

Solution:
  1. Installed Keytroller SPEED-SAVER EL for electronic throttles which allows for 2 different speed settings.
  2. ZONETROLLER IR transmitters installed at entrance to "low speed" zones
  3. ZONETROLLER IR receivers installed on top of overhead guard of every forklift
    • IN THE ZONE: Signal present from IR reciever (low top speed----traveling in low speed zone).
    • OUTSIDE THE ZONE: No signal (high top speed---traveling outside of low speed zone)
Problem Example #3:

Aluminum manufacturer's forklifts are more dangerous when running at top speed inside.

Request:

Client wants to slow down the forklifts when they are inside, but give them full speed capability outside where there is more room, better visibility and more ground to cover.

Solution:
  1. Installed Keytroller SPEED-SAVER for conventional cable type throttles.
  2. LASERTROLLER laser installed on forklift overhead guard. Laser focused straight up above forklift
  3. Laser detects the presense (or absense) of the ceiling above and outputs a signal when inside the building---no signal outside the building
  4. SPEED SAVER cable controller controls top speed by actuating a cable connected to throttle lever. NOT actuate and restrict thottle cable (which restricts top speed)
    • Speed #1: No signal---device does NOT actuate---NO restriction of throttle stroke or restriction of top speed (high top speed---traveling outside the building)
    • Speed #2: Signal present----device actuates to restrict throttle stoke and control top speed (low top speed----traveling inside the building).
  5. Both SPEED SAVER models will NOT effect hydraulic lifting power needed on internal combustion engines to lift heavy loads at low (or stopped) speed.

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
