Paper bales are bound by wires. When processing the bales the wires need to be opened and best removed. A dangerous work when being done manually, a costly and space consuming investment when being an automated part in the paper processing line.

As bales are usually feed to the paper line by using forklifts a smarter move can be to use the forklift for cutting and removing the wires. Durwen is the ideal partner and has designed the right attachment for this job.

The Durwen clamp SPBK features high grade wire cutting blades in one arm and a reliable wire catcher in the other. By doing design and all components themselves Durwen achieved an excellent cut and perfect catch rate for the wires.
