Sany, a Chinese reach stacker and empty container handler manufacturer, has appointed Mertens Heftruck Service BVBA as its dealer for Belgium and Luxembourg.

Forkliftaction.com News that Sany, which has a European head office in Bedburg, Germany, chose his company to represent its equipment because it was a "young and dynamic" firm located in the Port of Antwerp.
Mertens says that he has about 20 years' experience in reach stackers and heavy lifting machinery.
"We think we can place [the] Sany brand into Belgian ports because we have the know-how and we already have the clients," he says.
"Sany is a Chinese brand but already the sixth-largest equipment manufacturer globally. They have superb machine at interesting prices."
Martens Heftruck was established in 2005 and has seven employees.
The Sany Group was founded in 1989 as a welding materials factory. It has grown into a global company with locations in five Chinese industrial parks, with R&D and manufacturing bases in the USA, Germany, India, Brazil and Indonesia. It has 21 sales companies worldwide and its 2011 group sales revenue was RMB80.2 billion (USD12.7 billion).
