Riwal has turned to SmartEquip to support its parts and service operations worldwide. |
Global specialist rental company Riwal has entered into an agreement with technology provider SmartEquip to support its parts and service operations worldwide.
Operating across 57 locations in 16 countries, including across Europe, the Middle East and India, Riwal will utilise SmartEquip's Enterprise application to automate and streamline orders for spare parts and materials.
The SmartEquip implementation is slated to go live in Spain first and is expected to roll out across the entire company globally within 18 months.
Riwal COO Søren Rosenkrands says: "SmartEquip's online parts ordering system will allow us to increase efficiency by reducing costs associated with internal service, parts inventory and back-office. In addition, we will be able to improve our service even further as SmartEquip will enable us to increase fleet availability and uptime for our customers."
Norty Turner, Riwal CEO, adds: "The investment should be seen in the context of The Riwal Way project to increase our operating efficiency and improve customer service. We see SmartEquip as a natural extension of that journey. The Riwal Way has increased our efficiency and our ability to deliver the best customer experience."
Alexander Schuessler, SmartEquip founder and president of its International Group, says by actively supporting Riwal's global equipment footprint, his company will increase equipment uptime, while also reducing the cost of fleet service and spare parts transactions - both for Riwal and for its preferred suppliers. "We are proud to have been included in the company's Riwal Way project - which already has proven to be very successful in increasing operating efficiency and improving customer service."
The Riwal Holding Group, established in 1968 and headquartered in The Netherlands, is an international rental and sales specialist of aerial work platforms, telehandlers and power generators. Riwal employs over 1,400 people and has operations in 16 countries.
