Rented equipment from Linde at work at Frenchay Forestry |
Linde Material Handling is already seeing a pre-Christmas surge in demand for its short-term rental trucks - with three months still to go.
Zuzana Golisova, short term rental manager at Linde, explains that businesses often turn to short-term rental options due to tighter finances and seasonal demands.
Frenchay Forestry, a Christmas tree wholesaler, has repeatedly depended on Linde Fork Truck Rentals to meet the logistical demands of its annual Christmas rush. Based in Bristol, the company has a long tradition of involvement in sourcing the finest quality trees at competitive prices.
In the run-up to Christmas, Frenchay Forestry hires two counterbalance trucks which move around 40,000 palletised Christmas trees. The trees are delivered from the growers and are distributed to garden centres across the UK.
Richard Whittle, partner at Frenchay Forestry, notes that the bulk of his business is completed in a three week period, working around the clock to timed deliveries. "We can't afford any downtime," he points out.
The 2.5 T engine-powered counterbalance forklifts are used for loading and unloading the Christmas trees onto lorries.
"We have used Linde Fork Truck Rentals for many years now and know we can depend on them to provide us with reliable machines for as long as we need."
