Reliable Fork Lift Sales has acquired a new site |
Reliable Fork Lift Sales LLC has acquired a new site and plans by August to relocate about 4 mi. (6.4 km) within Phoenix.
Don and Mary Carlson own the business focusing on the Arizona market and are "confident about what we are doing" in transitioning to property ownership from leasing.
Reliable Fork Lift purchased 3 ac. (1.2 ha) and buildings for USD1.3 million.
Reliable plans to construct a 15,000 sqft. (1,394 sqm) shop with offices for service and parts management and also occupy two existing structures, a 2,000 sqft. (186 sqm) office area and 4,000 sqft. (372 sqm) industrial area.
Reliable employs 24 staff and has about 15,000 sqft. including office space and small outdoor work areas.
Reliable Fork represents the equipment of Doosan Industrial Vehicle America Corp. That relationship began in December 2005. Carlson reports positive customer response to the series of Doosan Pro5 forklifts with capacities starting at 3,000 lb. (1,350 kg).
The firm also started representing the rough-terrain equipment of Sellick Equipment Ltd in 2010 and is a dealer for Oshkosh Corp's JLG access equipment. "We do a little in scissor lifts but not much on telehandlers," Carlson notes.
"Rental is the biggest part of our business," he says. "We have about 260 forklifts in our inventory with lifting capacities from 3,000-36,000 lb. (1,350-16,200 kg)".
