Raimondi LR213s in DubaiItalian heavy lifting solutions manufacturer Raimondi has delivered five of its LR213 luffing cranes to the construction site of a new 1.423 million sqft. (132.2 million sqm) luxury residential high-rise development across two towers in the heart of Dubai.
Installed in Q2 2024, the five cranes are all currently freestanding at 45 m with jib lengths ranging between 44.5 m and 55 m.
Based on site progression, four of the five cranes will be externally climbed to reach heights of 145 m and 190 m. Equipped with a 55 kW hoisting winch with a drum capacity of 880 m, the cranes lift at a maximum speed up to 104 m/minute.
Raimondi Middle East general manager Wael Hasan explains the LR213 has been used extensively in built-up areas across the UAE.
“The LR213 model was selected (for this project) to meet timely and safe execution with prevention of overfly of surrounding properties top of mind,” he adds.
The LR213s will remain onsite for the next 18 to 22 months.
The Dubai project is part of an enhanced Middle East market presence, which recently saw group CEO Luigi Maggioni tour jobsites and meet clients in the region.
“Given the region’s dynamic construction sector and substantial infrastructure investment, the Middle East remains a strategically significant hub for our operations,” Maggioni said, noting that more than 300 crane models have been deployed there over the past few years.
