PSA Penn Terminals has purchased a Liebherr Ship-To-Shore (STS) container crane for its marine facilities in Philadelphia.
Liebherr Container Cranes says the sale is a repeat order, with PSA Penn Terminals buying two STS container cranes in 2018.
The new crane has an outreach of 48 m, a span of 18.288 m, a backreach of 15 m and a safe working load (SWL) of 66 T. The lift height over rail is 35 m.
Winston Ziegler, head of sales – maritime cranes at Liebherr USA, says: “Our team in the US provides support through our local Liebherr USA service program and we are confident that this new crane, when it is delivered next year, will help PSA Penn Terminals to continue to meet the needs of its customers with security, efficiency and reliability.
PSA Penn Terminals president and chief executive John Brennan says the Liebherr STS cranes already in operation at its facility have proved the equipment’s performance and reliability.
“This repeat order stands as proof of their product's quality and the robustness of our partnership,” Brennan says.
