Unlike competitive hydraulic actuated weigh scales, WPI took the best available microprocessor-based scale monitor then commonly available for general weighing, and customized it by reworking the software to suit our wish list for the best possible system at a mass produced price.

Technically WPI has taken out the usual software complications that compromised the most accurate results by locking the signal when it is stable right after the load lift. Others use weigh averaging techniques that samples the signal many times then find the medium signal. WPI trusts the at rest hydraulic pressure reading and simply locks it then converts it to the choice unit of measure, usually lbs or kg.
