The NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG) headquarters, serving Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), has moved to larger premises in Frimley, Surrey in the UK, incorporating the Engineering Concept Centre.

"For the first time, our colleagues from the UK-based Engineering Concept Centre and our colleagues from EMEA headquarters are together under one roof," says Ralf Mock, managing director, EMEA.

"Having strong and close working relationships between colleagues is very important to ensure that customers and dealers receive a superior level of support," Mock explains.

A range of Hyster and Yale forklifts is displayed in a glass showroom on the new premises to showcase products to visiting dealers, customers and staff.

"Being in close proximity to the forklifts every day will help to keep this most important element of our business, the metal, at the forefront of our colleague's minds," Mock says. "It is important for the whole team, engineers and sales teams alike, to feel they know each product inside out."

The new NMHG premises are located in Frimley 4 Business Park. The units are combined to provide NMHG with 17,050 sqft. (1,584 sqm) of offices and 10,000 sqft. (929 sqm) to accommodate the manufacturer's industrial, and research and development departments.

The total number of NMHG staff in the EMEA region is 1,360, with 100 staff members based at the new Frimley headquarters. Other NMHG locations in the region are Masate in Italy, which has 260 staff; Craigavon in Ireland, with 600 staff; and Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which has 400 staff. Other NMHG locations in the EMEA region include France, Germany and Irvine in Scotland.

NMHG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc. Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc and its subsidiaries, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, employ approximately 5,800 people worldwide.
