Training kit, video win recognition for IPAF
Crooklands, United KingdomSeparate contests have awarded recognition to the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) for an Operator Training Support Kit and a "Spot the Mistake" video.
The IPAF, through its North American subsidiary American Work Platform Training in Schenectady, New York, USA, produced the kit, which won a silver award in the aftermarket-support products and services category of the LLEAP, or leadership in lifting equipment and aerial platforms, competition. "This is a desperately needed product from the most reputable name in the industry," say LLEAP judges. Lift and Access magazine organised the LLEAP awards.
The video from Crooklands-based IPAF won first prize as best digital media in the health-and-safety-at-work category in a biennial contest. An Italian social insurance organisation conducts the competition with health and safety authorities of the Emilia-Romagna region and the city of Modena, Italy. The video was shown during the 6-7 October Ambiente Lavora convention in Modena, can be downloaded from the
website's publications and films sections and is available in the English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish languages.
JLG relaunches vertical mast boom lift
McConnellsburg, PA, United StatesJLG Industries Inc has relaunched its vertical mast boom lift with the identity T26E replacing the former E26MJ name.
"Various enhancements will lower the total cost of ownership for rental companies and increase productivity for machine operators," says Chris Mellott, vice president of sales and market development for the Americas. The features include environmentally friendly electric power.
The T26E has a direct electric drive facilitating a longer battery life and more duty cycles. A jib on the vertical telescopic mast enables operators to reach above and around obstacles to complete jobs, maneuvering around assembly lines, shelving, ductwork and partitions.
The unit has a platform capacity of 500 lbs (225 kg), overall width of 39 inches (1 m) and platform height of 26 feet (7.8 m).
