 Rocla's automated warehouse truck |
Portucel Soporcel Group has purchased an automated warehouse truck system from Rocla to streamline operations at its new paper and pulp mill in Portugal.
Rocla supplied 20 automated warehouse trucks in the deal valued at over EUR2 million (USD2.93 million). The vehicles will be used to transport reels from production to sheet cutting and for transporting pallets from sheet cutting to wrapping.
The purchase is part of Portucel's EURO500 million (USD734 million) investment in a new paper mill in Setúbal, which will commence operations in August 2009.
Carlos Lopes, project area manager for Portucel, says the company evaluated many AGV suppliers before choosing Rocla. "We chose Rocla because of their advanced technological solution and they had the best total package."
