Smugglers use forklift in China

Five men used a forklift to smuggle computer parts from Hong Kong to mainland China.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong customs officers arrested the men for attempting to smuggle HKD2.3 million (USD295,000) of computer hard disks in northwest Hong Kong.

The officers noticed the men loading the goods from a lorry to a speedboat using a forklift last Thursday night. They believed the computer parts were being smuggled to China.

About 2,710 hard disks and two radio transceivers were seized while a lorry, the forklift and speedboat were impounded.
