Oshkosh Truck Corp subsidiary JLG Industries Inc has been awarded a USD78 million fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the refurbishment of equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The JLG military team performs refurbishment work in Balad, Iraq and Bagram, Afghanistan. Under the contract, the work is expected to last until 2012 and is for JLG's ATLAS and 6000M telehandlers, and Case M4K and MW24C loader equipment.

The contract kicks off with an initial order worth USD12.4 million for the refurbishment of equipment for the US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM).

In April, Forkliftaction.com News reported JLG received a USD39.5 million order for Atlas telehandlers from the US Army.
