What are your company's products/services?Cumitas machines are manufactured at a 14,444 square metre plant in Tarsus, Turkey. Cumitas designs its own forklifts and all machines have the CE safety marking logo. Critical components in Cumitas machines are world-renowned brands from foreign manufacturers, like John Deere and Perkins (engines), ZF (drive train) and Rexroth (hydraulics).
Cumitas manufactures diesel forklifts under the Cukurova brand with loading capacities from 2.5 tons to eight tons, three-wheeled electric forklifts with 1.5 ton loading capacities, articulated and rigid backhoe loaders and wheel loaders.

Cumitas was established in 1968 to manufacture combine harvesters, grain drills and planters under a licence agreement with John Deere. In 1986, after producing 26,250 units of agricultural machines, Cumitas ended its agreement with John Deere and started manufacturing earth-moving machinery and industrial machinery under its own brand, Cukurova.
Today Cumitas's factory has an annual production capacity of 2,000 units of earth-moving and ındustrial machinery. A team of 150 personnel, including skilled engineers, work at Cumitas.

Cumitas is the only forklift producer in Turkey. Cumitas has a 20 per cent to 25 per cent share of the domestic market. The company holds the ISO9000 Quality Assurance Certificate from the Turkish Standards Institute. In 2003, Cumitas achieved net sales of TRL 9.964 million (USD7.585 million) and had shareholders' equity of TRL 4.318 million (USD3.287 million).
Why is your company outstanding in its market?Cukurova forklifts have hydrostatic transmissions, which few forklift brands in the Turkish market have. Cumitas aims to develop solutions to meet its customers' environmental challenges. The company is dedicated to a goal of sustaining a clean environment, a high quality of life and meeting or exceeding environmental regulations.
What are your company's future plans?Cumitas wants to increase its domestic market share and export more forklifts to western European countries.
