Materials handling wheel and tyre specialist, French-headquartered Interfit, has continued to expand its presence in Europe with the opening of a new service centre in Rotterdam.
Interfit says this strategic expansion strengthens its presence in the Dutch market.
Frans Roukens, sales and service director BeNeLux adds: “Rotterdam is a strategic area for logistics and industry, and we’re proud to reinforce our presence there with a dedicated team and infrastructure.”
The Rotterdam centre will operate with full service capabilities, including mobile service vehicles and pressing equipment.
This follows news earlier this month Interfit had grown its footprint with the acquisition of Swedish tyre provider Inge’s Däck AB.

Forklift fleet replacement helps achieve zero emissions
Global lube oil additive company BRB reports it has achieved its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from its operations to zero, in part due to replacing all forklifts with electric models.
The models of forklift and the size of the fleet were not disclosed.
Other changes the company has made to achieve this goal has been using renewable energy for heating and electricity, re-using heat in the system for pre-heating and temperature conditioning of working area and replacing all lighting with LED.
“I am very proud that we have a site that has eliminated greenhouse gas emissions from its production, including from purchased energy,” said Roger Dohmen, VP of BRB Lube oil Additives & Chemicals.
