Raymond given Material Handling Innovation of Year award
The Raymond Corporation’s iWarehouse ObjectSense Detection & Notification System (iW.ObjectSense) has been named the Material Handling Innovation of the Year award at the SupplyTech Breakthrough Awards.
The awards are held by SupplyTech, an independent market intelligence organisation which evaluates and recognises technology companies, products and services in the global logistics and supply chain.
The iW.ObjectSense system uses a dynamic detection field which adjusts in real-time, based on the forklift’s speed and steer angle. Visual and audible notifications alert operators to potential hazards, offering stop or slow down functionality.
Shannon Curtis, Raymond Corporation’s director of product marketing, says: “We are pleased to accept this award from SupplyTech Breakthrough and will continue to support operators in material handling through intelligent automation and data transparency as they navigate the next generation of the supply chain and modern, optimised operations”.
