Gillian Reed, the managing director of Still Material Handling UK, has been appointed a board position with the UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA).
UKMHA says a diverse and experienced board is needed as it strives to continue to improve industry safety and helping the sector to a adapt to “ever-changing customer demands”.
Rob Fisher, UKMHA CEO, says: “We are delighted that Gillian has agreed to join the UKMHA board. She is a highly respected and well-known figure within our industry and her knowledge of the service sector will be invaluable in helping the association with its work in this area.”
Reed adds its is encouraging to see more female leaders stepping into prominent roles in the materials handling sector.

Patrick Terminals’ COO, Steve Cox, has been named as a director with the International Cargo Handling Co-ordination Association (ICHCA) Australia.
An accomplished senior manager specialising in leading large-scale marine operations over his 20 years in senior positions, Cox now manages key terminal assets, leading Patrick Terminals operational delivery of key business objectives.
“Patrick Terminals has been a long term supporter of ICHCA Australia and we welcome Steve's contribution to the board,” ICHCA Australia states.

Noblelift’s Access Division has continued its expansion with the appointment of industry veteran Oscar Polanco to support sales and service development in the US and Canada, in his new role as senior manager of powered access business development and technical services North America.
Noblelift’s Access Division states Polanco brings many years of work platform experience in the rental and manufacturing sectors. He will be based in Dallas, Texas.
