Goscor delivers forklift fleet to Tanzanian port

South African-based materials handling and forklift solutions provider Goscor Lift Trucks (GLT) has delivered a fleet of forklifts to C Steinweg Bridge Terminals’ Dar Es Salaam Terminal in Tanzania.

GLT says the forklifts included Bobcat D30S-7 3T diesel and some electric models and will be used to support Steinweg’s regional expansion by enhancing operational efficiency and handling capacity across the terminal. The company did not specify how many forklifts make up the fleet at the Tanzanian terminal.

Founded in 1984, GLT has worked with Steinweg for a number of years providing forklifts and materials handling equipment at its terminals in South Africa, Namibia and Zambia. This is its first delivery to the Tanzanian terminal.

Steinweg group asset manager Christiaan Venter says the partnership is successful because of the approach taken by GLT.

“Working with GLT allows us to focus on growth and service quality across our terminals,” Venter continues. “Their dedication to providing tailored support and high-performance equipment aligns perfectly with our own values and goals, enabling us to serve our clients effectively and expand into new markets.”
