DP World continues to expand its global presence

Dubai-based global logistics solutions provider DP World continues its rapid expansion having opened new freight forwarding offices in Bogota and Panama in the last week.

Since mid-2023, DP World has launched more than 150 new freight forwarding offices globally, with 20 of these strategically placed throughout the Americas.

“This expansion complements the company’s existing operations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Suriname,” the company says in a statement. “DP World plans to open more than 180 offices worldwide, with upcoming locations in Argentina, Mexico and Panama.”

Plans have also been announced to further extend its Colombian presence in 2025 with a commercial office in Medellín.

DP World says the new Colombian freight forwarding office will “primarily serve [as] the fast-moving consumer goods, retail automative, and high-tech sectors, helping companies in these industries improve their logistics operations and expand their reach into global markets”.

DP World Americas chief executive officer and managing director Brian Enright says of the move: “Colombia’s growing economy and dynamic industries offer significant opportunities for businesses to scale, and our logistics solutions are designed to support that growth".

“The launch of our new freight forwarding office in Colombia extends DP World’s presence across the Andean corridor,” Enright adds.

“This new freight forwarding office underscores our commitment to supporting both local and regional business with seamless logistics solutions that connect them to markets worldwide.”
