All corners of the world are acknowledging the need to reduce greenhouse gases, as evidenced by this week’s news.

India’s biggest aluminium producer expanded its fleet of electric forklifts, already the country’s largest. In Europe, hydrogen refuelling stations are being rolled out apace, while the European Rental Association releases carbon emission reporting guidelines for its sector.

This week we also share some insights from Hyster-Yale Asia-based executive Ben Newey about trends in the industry, including the broader focus on environmental concerns. 

So many steps are being taken to combat climate change. And yet the weather is getting more chaotic, with the earliest-ever-reported named category 5 hurricane of the Atlantic hurricane season smashing through the Caribbean and the United States last week.

When will we know if what we’re doing is enough?
