Iconic motorbike brand Harley-Davidson has chosen Canada’s Kinaxis to “orchestrate” the company’s global supply chain, which includes manufacturing plants in the United States, Brazil and Thailand.

Kinaxis says it was chosen for its trusted reputation within the automotive industry, with established partnerships with global brands such as Volvo, Ford, Subaru and General Motors.

“We’re so proud to be part of this legendary company’s journey to transform its supply chain performance,” says John Sicard, Kinaxis chief executive officer.

Kinaxis says its patented concurrency technique combined with a human-centered approach to artificial intelligence allows businesses to orchestrate their end-to-end supply chain network, from multi-year strategic planning through down-to-the-second execution and last-mile delivery.

Last month Kinaxis also announced a partnership with global independent pharmaceutical group Servier.

As part of the deployment, Kinaxis says it will enable Servier to plan more effectively and gain critical end-to-end visibility of its supply chain, a vital requirement for a company with varied jurisdictional regulations and demand variability.

“One of Servier’s principal ambitions is to be a resilient, growing and sustainable company that’s focused on a few areas where we can make the greatest impact globally for patients,” says Xavier Morelon, head of supply chain at Servier.

“To do so, we know we should rely on best-in-class partners like Kinaxis which are so critical to helping us become more agile and ensuring our supply chain can enable us to hit this lofty objective.”
