LexxPluss has launched its suite of robots and technology in the United States.

The Japanese intralogistics and mobile robotics company unveiled its Lexx500 autonomous mobile robot (AMR), the LexxTug towing interface, the LexxFleet management system and its IoT LexxHub, which facilitates the collective automation of existing systems with Lexx500 AMRs for enhanced safety and interoperability.

The Lexx500 requires no fixed equipment and can automatically transfer loads up to 300 kg with minor modifications or 500 kg as is with LexxTug attached.

The LexxTug towing interface allows manufacturers to use general-purpose carts such as cage carts and six-wheel carts without modification to automatically transfer loads of up to 500 kg. It has an automatic detachment function to enable it to fit into existing operations without major changes.

The LexxFleet management system delivers task management, group control management of multiple units and system integration.

LexxHub allows existing equipment to connect to the network and work with a fleet of Lexx500 AMRs, creating an autonomous worksite through equipment cooperation.

Collaborative tasks such as calling an elevator, production equipment lines or fire prevention functions such as shutters and alarms can be performed in time with AMRs to enhance productivity and safety.

“We are confident we offer US manufacturers the flexibility and scalability to create operations of the future that will provide a safe workplace environment, reduce workload and maximise productivity,” says LexxPluss chief operating officer Rizo Itakura.

LexxPluss opened a US sales office in Indiana last year.

“As part of our major expansion into the US, LexxPluss has also created a dedicated demo space where manufacturing and intralogistics companies can see first-hand what our intralogistics technology can do,” says Morgan Chang, the company’s US business development manager.

“We are also interested in forming new partnerships in the region and our open architecture approach lends itself to developing collaborative, interoperable solutions.”
