The cancellation of the merger of all mergers - Cargotec and Konecranes - continues to have repercussions, with Cargotec deciding to put its MacGregor business on the market. But, as we report this week, now is not the time to be offloading subsidiaries, with so much market uncertainty. So, there's no word yet about when the maritime cargo and load-handling solutions provider will be up for sale. There is probably also some caution about who can buy the division, given the tough anti-monopoly legislation which halted the Cargotec-Konecranes deal. Meanwhile, we also report on Oshkosh's acquisition of Italy's Hinowa, further cementing a 12-year relationship which saw Hinowa produce JLG compact crawler boom lifts. Oshkosh is hoping to not only expand its product line and European footprint, but also to tap into Hinowa's electrification expertise.
