Much of our news in the past few weeks has been focused on Europe, mainly due to the LogiMAT show.
This week, we report on Tailift USA's new distribution and training centre in Houston, Texas. We also note a significant investment by UK-based Narrow Aisle in its distribution capacity across the USA, South and Central America. These come hot on the heels of last week's report on Kalmar's upgrade and expansion of its manufacturing plant in Ottawa, Kansas, home to the company's terminal tractor manufacturing operations in North America.
These developments show the importance of the American markets to European and Asian manufacturers - and the global nature of our industry.
