Last week, we expressed our sympathy for the people of Germany and neighbouring Belgium and Austria affected by the recent flooding.
Now, we convey similar wishes to China, which has also faced devastating floods, especially in the industrial hub of Zhengzhou. The epicentre of the disaster is one of China's automotive industry hubs, with a significant presence of large manufacturers.
We have reached out to our friends in the industry in China, but have not heard of losses in the materials handling sector. We are only aware of one manufacturer in Henan province, but have not been able to contact them.
So, again, are thoughts are with those who have suffered losses - human as well as material, and our best wishes go to those leading the recovery process - both in China and in Europe.
