Often, a shroud of secrecy is thrown over mergers and acquisitions after the initial announcement. However, participants in the two current mega-deals are being quite communicative, probably because they are public companies. Last week, we heard about Terex clearing its first hurdle, investor consent, for its deal with Konecranes. In today's newsletter, we report on Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Nichiyu Forklift forming a preparatory committee to supervise the purchase of UniCarriers.
