It's all a matter of perspective. Some see this week's record low exchange rate of the euro (at USD1.2433) as a negative. Certainly, the stock exchanges didn't like the move. But others see the two-year low as a potential boost to European exports. If it does have that effect, it'll certainly help the economies identified as being at risk. As one observer noted, the last thing the fragile Mediterranean economies need now is more lectures. Instead, they need investment - and trade. If people can see an upside, it can only have a benefit - not only in Europe, but globally.
