CeMAT Australia 2022 is bringing materials handling and intralogistics innovators together with decision-makers in operations, warehousing, supply chain, IT and finance.
The past few years have demonstrated to the world the importance of every link in global and local supply chains, highlighting both immense challenges and impressive agility and innovation. After a pandemic-related pause, CeMAT Australia is back as an in-person event for the first time since 2018.
Making up for lost time
During 19-21 July 2022 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, attendees will see first-hand the latest logistics and warehousing technology and equipment. The CeMAT exhibition will be a one-stop-shop of pioneering equipment and services providing practical take-away solutions to address challenges faced by businesses in the supply chain today.
Leading experts offering real advice
This year, the CeMAT Australia conference will run over three days from the CeMAT Knowledge Theatre located adjacent to the showroom floor. Exploring the theme Beyond resilience – rethinking, reinforcing and reconnecting the supply chain, experts will share success stories, research, predictions and insights. Sub-topics include Industry 4.0; IIoT; digitisation; automation; the impact of online shopping; the influence of consumer loyalty on the supply chain; rethinking supply chain configuration and networks; sustainability; safety and labour shortages.
Who or what is the weakest link in Forklift safety?
One of the panels during the conference will feature Forkliftaction News editor Allan Leibowitz, who will lead a discussion on materials handling safety. The session will delve into how to keep people safe with workers sharing the warehouse with autonomous vehicles and automated systems. What systems, training and equipment are needed to face the new challenges? Can technology create safer workplaces? Are humans the weakest link? Does automation spell the end of manual equipment, or can the two types of machines work together safety and effectively?
CeMAT Australia is a unique opportunity for business leaders from a wide variety of industries ranging from FMCG through to resources. It will be a three-day showcase of solutions that are designed to strengthen resilience and respond to the exciting new operations, business and customer trends driving the world today.
