Wisoak will lead the initiative |
Eight companies and scientific institutions from the logistics and training sector have set themselves the goal of "smart learning in logistics" in a joint project titled SMALO.
A digital training portal is being created to meet the existing and future training needs of employees in logistics. Initially, the partners will upload as much existing training material as possible.
The project was initiated against the background of mounting pressure for change in the logistics industry. The changing skills requirements in the course of digitisation increase the need for further training and require the development of innovative training concepts.
SMALO is working with industry and research partners and is coordinated by Wisoak in Bremen. "We are striving for a platform that sees itself as a digital learning ecosystem. It integrates different forms of learning and learning formats as well as the various interests of the actors from companies, further training institutions and the group of employees," explains Gesa Friederichs-Büttner, responsible for innovation and digital at Wisoak. "The aim of the project is to ... develop a need-based and application-related digital and secure further training space in selected professional fields in logistics that supports networking activities on an individual and institutional level."
The project is being funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the INVITE innovation competition for three years. The project sponsor is the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB).
