A forklift driver who has been fly-fishing the rivers of South West Wales for more than 50 years has landed "the big one" at this year's Royal Welsh Show.
According to the South Wales Evening Post
, John Graham, 61, won the Welsh fly caster champion title, together with fellow fisherman Arwel Evans, after casting over a distance with different styles of rod at the agricultural show.
"The biggest fish I ever caught was a 25lb salmon on the Towy (river in Carmarthenshire)," he said.
"I enjoy everything about fishing but most of all it's the solitude and being surrounded by nature."
