Denso Robotics has launched two new robot series that it claims will set a higher performance standard for robot use in demanding industrial applications.
"The new robots in the VM and VL series are designed for a wide range of tasks with higher payloads and reach and thus expand our product family," says Dirk Schoffler, Denso Robotics senior manager - Europe. "Both robot series are equipped with the new, fully integrated RC9 controller, which offers users even more options - simply, quickly and flexibly."
The VM-1500/1800 models are characterised by a completely closed housing with fully integrated cable and line routing and optionally offer either special dust and water protection (protection class IP67), making them ideal for use in clean room areas. This means that they are not only suitable for standard automation applications, but also for special tasks in various industries, such as the automotive supply and electronics industry, pharmaceutical and medical technology and other segments.
In addition, grippers, sensors and other peripheral devices can be implemented easily and safely on the robot arm using the internal cabling (EtherCAT). With a maximum reach of 1,506 mm (VM-1500) or 1,804 mm (VM-1800) as well as a load capacity of up to 25 kg, both models are suitable for various applications.
With up to 40 kg, the new VL-2500 offers the greatest load capacity and, with up to 2.5 m, the greatest range of all models in the Denso Robotics product family and is therefore designed for a wide range of tasks in industrial automation. The VL-2500 is suitable for tasks such as palletizing, assembling, transporting and packing. The robot is characterised by a high degree of robustness and can also work in harsh environments with oil and water vapour. In combination with the WINCAPS Plus programming software package, palletizing tasks can be carried out quickly and easily - without any special programming.
Both robot series are exclusively equipped with the new RC9 control, offering a higher degree of open, flexible and simple integration thanks to the intelligent control architecture with integrated PLC functionality and user-friendliness.
