Chinese forklift factories continue to come back on line, with the
Xinhua news service reporting that all enterprises above a designated size have resumed business in Anhui Province.
According to the report, "amid strict measures against COVID-19, the county has acted to learn about local enterprises' productions and operations, and help them solve various difficulties with business resumption".
Meanwhile, production at manufacturer EP Equipment is at "full speed", according to Cindy Su, international marketing manager.
"We have resumed manufacturing in February and successfully re-started our first shipment one week after getting back to work. We have gotten our offices and factories up to full speed since then. As a global brand, we have managed to keep our promises by delivering products on time with good quality service," she tells
Forkliftaction News.
EP has emerged from the coronavirus crisis with no employees showing symptoms, she says.
Su says the production halt at the beginning of the year caused a backlog of orders and early orders "were taken as first priority after resuming manufacturing in order to meet our regular lead time".
Su's advice to forklift manufacturers in Europe and the United States is to stay in close contact with health officials and the local governments. "Actively reinforce good hygiene practices and monitor employees' daily health status ... to reduce the risk of contracting the coronavirus and to maintain a safe workplace," she says.
