A brand renowned globally for powerful and reliable forklifts backed by strong customer partnerships, Hyster, is introducing to Asia-Pacific its new UT Series range for customers seeking quality and service to cost-effectively tackle simple everyday materials handling needs.

The new UT Series diesel or dual-fuel counterbalance lift trucks, pallet trucks and stackers, in six different capacities from 1.5-3.5 tonnes, deliver an attractive, affordable and uncomplicated range for enhanced user choice across many industries, including food and beverage, warehousing, manufacturing and logistics.

The value proposition - "Meets the Need. Makes the Move." - relates to customers who don't need particular advanced functionality features, but prefer proven materials handling solutions backed by a supplier they can trust - and with the support of a reputable service network extending across Asia Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Korea and Taiwan.

Hyster says this uncomplicated approach to materials handling - backed by 24/7 service - is particularly attractive to customers whose materials handling equipment is required to work intermittently over a working week, on an as-required basis, typically up to 1,000 hours a year.

Strong distributor network

Hyster already has a strong and long-established professional dealer and service network extending across Asia-Pacific, strength that is in turn backed by Hyster globally, which has been building relationships and partnering with customers, suppliers, dealers, and employees over many decades.

"Hyster's Asia-Pacific network of especially chosen, experienced, independent dealers with outstanding service backup offers a wide range of support services delivering reliability and productivity to their customers," says Hyster-Yale Asia-Pacific Managing Director, Mr Tony Fagg.

The new Hyster® UT range embodies all the quality features that have been at the heart of the Hyster brand for nearly 90 years, including intelligent design, product testing, quality of manufacturing, quality of suppliers and environmental emphasis.

"The advantage the new range brings with its 'Meets the Need' value proposition is fine-tuned responsiveness to customers' individual needs, including varying hours of service, different applications, cost of ownership, capability, strength and dependability of the product," says Mr Fagg.

Rather than pigeon-hole basic utility needs - or offer one-size-fits-all solutions - the UT Series philosophy opens a discussion with customers on "What are your specific needs and how long do you need to use it for on a daily basis."

"Then our established Asia-Pacific dealer network can bring their extensive expertise to deliver cost-effective, quality solutions for individual customers," says Tony Fagg.

Simple to use

The ergonomically designed operator compartment, with a familiar automotive layout means that drivers will be able to work comfortably, preventing tiredness during handling operations. A range of standard features and options help to ensure that the truck is configured to the needs of the application.

Easy to Maintain

Thanks to the simplicity of the components and specification, servicing can be carried out quickly and easily, even when PCs, laptops or diagnostic tools are not available.

Affordable to Own

The use of proven, high-quality components - as well as efficient filtration and excellent cooling - results in the reliable operation of the trucks and lower wear and tear. This - together with a standard warranty and the fast availability of cost-effective replacement parts - helps to reduce service and maintenance requirements and costs.
