Battery Supplies was founded in 1999 by Hans Weyme and Alexander De Soete and has now about 18 years of experience. Alexander explains: "Originally, Battery Supplies started selling traction batteries for the industry and starter batteries for the automotive industry. Battery Supplies is active in everything to do with batteries, battery chargers and accessories".

OWN ASSEMBLY AND STORAGE
"The logistics sector is one of our most important sales markets and amounts to 65% of our turnover. We mainly focus on traction batteries for forklift trucks and truck batteries. In addition, we also sell automotive batteries and batteries for industrial cleaning machines. We distribute traction cells of all technologies. Lead Acid, Li-Ion, GEL, AGM, Pure Lead,... Moreover, we do the assembly of traction batteries completely ourselves, at our site.

The advantage of this process is that we have a very large stock of battery cells. One of our three large warehouses is filled to the brim with traction cells in all sizes and shapes and these are finished by our production units into complete traction batteries.

A second warehouse is full of starter batteries and Deep Cycle batteries, which are used for cleaning machines, solar panels or golf carts. In our third warehouse we store Lithium batteries, which are very popular thanks to their low weight and high capacity ".

INTERNATIONAL STORY
Battery Supplies headquarters
Battery Supplies headquarters
Battery Supplies has a total of about 75 employees. In addition to five service technicians who perform maintenance and repairs at customer sites, there are also a dozen salesmen on the road. The rest of the employees are the commercial and administrative office staff and work at the headquarters in Deerlijk or in one of our five stores.

Alexander continues: "Both individuals and companies can come to us for their batteries in one of our Battery Street stores, in Roeselare, Deerlijk, Ghent, Antwerp or Bruges. They can go there for our entire range, which includes bicycle, mobile, photo, laptop, tablet, game consoles and moto batteries in addition to batteries for industrial applications. Besides the five stores in our own operations, there are also a number of franchise stores and Battery Corners throughout Belgium and the Netherlands ". In addition to the head office in Belgium, Battery Supplies also has a department in France. But the rest of Europe and the world are also provided. "We are the exclusive distributor of Crown products in Europe. This enabled us to conquer the Middle East and Africa. We also regularly receive foreign visitors in our company. Russians, Chinese, Germans, Croats, they have all passed by. What makes us unique? Our extensive range. A company can come to us for just about any type of battery that it needs. Of course we have competition per type that we encounter at the large sector fairs where we exhibit, but the real competitors with an equally extensive range are scarce", says Alexander.
