As part of the company's global distribution strategy that includes the expansion of its sales and service network throughout the EMEAR (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia) region, Terex Aerial Work Platforms has appointed Moscow-based UniRent LLC as its new distributor for the full line of Genie products (excluding light towers) in Russia.
"Our aim is to make Genie products easily accessible across all markets, with best services at all times," says Sharbel Kordahi, Genie managing director, Terex Equipment Middle East AWP, Middle East, Southern Africa, Russia & CIS. "With the appointment of UniRent as an additional player in the specialised distribution of Genie equipment in Russia, customers now benefit from easier access to the full line of Genie products, including the provision of spare parts, skilled local service support and financing solutions backed by Terex Financial Services (throughout the country)."
"Adding to the presence of existing Genie partners, the appointment of UniRent enhances our geographical coverage to provide customers easier access to Genie products through 80 branches across Russia and five in CIS."
To ensure fast product availability, UniRent has ordered 90 Genie machines, with a broad mix of articulating and telescopic Genie boom lifts, scissor lifts, personal lifts and telehandlers. Deliveries are ongoing.
"We are proud to be part of the Genie family, with whom we share the same customer-focused culture and philosophy," says Yaroslav Klepov, CEO UniRent LLC. "Genie access equipment completes our product offering perfectly. Backed by our strong market presence and skilled local service support and stock of in-house parts, we are aiming to become a major player for Genie and a reference for customers in Russia and CIS rapidly."
