Sroka Incorporated, a multifaceted engineering and manufacturing company specializing in material handling equipment, announces huge achievements from its fiscal year-end 2016 and even bigger achievements expected in 2017.In January of last year, Sroka set out to make 2016 the best year in the company's history - just how epic it turned out surprised many. Before we get ahead, let's take a look back. The 2000s were a period of strategic innovation and growth. Vertical integration became key during this time when Sroka expanded its control over its supply chain. This included major investments in machinery, technology and intellectual property. As a result of continual improvement, tremendous value was added to each product by reducing costs and increasing both manufacturing efficiency and productivity. Meanwhile during this time Sroka's leadership and engineering team were busy developing several hundred successful products that were added to the company's portfolio of engineered solutions.
Major improvements continue into the 2010s with a key focus on infrastructure, environment and operations.
In 2016 Sroka made a commitment to six key objectives: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and Environment. Sroka implemented practices, processes, and measurables that hold all personnel at Sroka accountable to maintain and improve all aspects of the company. As a result, safety increased through better training and best practices, quality improved through continual improvement of products and processes, on-time deliveries increased through strategic scheduling, cost decreased by expanding internal capabilities, productivity boosted through effective lean manufacturing practices, and sustainability was achieved through environmental adherence policies. From the first point of contact to product completion, Sroka has proved time and time again they are a trusted partner their customers can rely on.
Outlook for 2017In 2017, Sroka launched its fully integrated ERP system and is in final stages of ISO 9001:2015 certification. Sroka's manufacturing plant will be completely outfitted with the latest in LED lighting, making for a safer, welcoming, and environmentally conscious workplace. A major facelift is expected to break ground this summer. All the while Sroka will continue to invest and expand its manufacturing facility and capabilities. More at
