Human error is being blamed for a telehandler accident at Chantry Centre in Andover.
According to the
Andover Advertiser, the project manager responsible for the construction work in which the telehandler was involved attributed the accident to "driver error".
The machine tipped over while lifting heavy cladding panels onto the building.
Slight damage was done to the side of the building and the area was cordoned off while workers went to fix the problem.
There were no reported injuries, but several businesses were forced to close temporarily.
The contractors are currently conducting an investigation and steps to remedy the situation were carried out in close cooperation with the Health and Safety Executive.
Renovation work is expected to be completed soon.
