ProLift Industrial Equipment recently donated a Toyota forklift to Hope Hill, the third recipient of a forklift donation through ProLift's community initiative, Project Lift.

With 20 deserving non-profit nominations, ProLift encouraged its associates to review each non-profit's story online and select their top two choices. Hope Hill quickly became the frontrunner for the donation.

Through treatment and therapy, nurturing environments and ongoing support, Hope Hill offers a second chance for young women aged 12 to18 in crisis. Its residential treatment program provides a haven for victims of sexual abuse or neglect, chronic runaways and/or those with substance abuse issues. Services include transitional living, equine-assisted therapy, foster care and adoption.

The donated Toyota forklift will be used on Hope Hill's 150 ac. (60 ha) site, transporting items to buildings on campus and unloading supplies from trucks.

Chris Peck, CEO, says the forklift replaces a tractor, which was "our only available equipment to unload supplies, which has proved to be a dangerous task at times".

With headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky and locations throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia, ProLift Industrial Equipment offers a full line of materials handling solutions including new, used and rental equipment, service, parts, warehousing and safety training programs.

Founded in 1978, ProLift has grown into a full-service forklift and materials handling dealership, boasting eight locations, approximately 350 employees and multiple product lines. In January 2007, the dealership was acquired by Toyota Industries North America.

Besides Toyota, ProLift also sells equipment from Taylor, Genie and Combilift.

Words of support …
