What's in the new KEYTROLLER SMARTI wireless DVR camera?
  • It is a lockable wireless camera that mounts to any make or model forklift.
  • It is available with an optional external IR "night vision" waterproof camera
  • It has a USB port for connection to optional wireless modem. (WiFi or Cellular)
  • It has built in GPS
  • It has built in impact sensors
  • It has slots for 2 (32GB SD cards)
  • It can be triggered by the KEYTROLLER LCD access monitoring device to record an abusive video "event".
What kind of video does SMARTI record?
  • Continuous: When using 2 (32GB SD) cards, the SMARTI will record approximately 36 hours of continuous video from both cameras synchronized. Continuous video is overwritten.
  • Event generated: SMARTI can be triggered by the KEYTROLLER device to record abusive events involved with the forklift.
  • All video is time and date stamped with forklift name.
Why would I want one on my forklift fleet?
  • You will have nearly INSTANT video accountability of abusive events on each forklift.
  • If you have two cameras, you will see synchronized video from both cameras.
What is a video event?
  • A triggered event comes from the KEYTROLLER LCD device and would be caused by an abusive impact, an overload, a speeding over limit or a pedestrian egress.
  • When triggered, the SMARTI saves 20 seconds before the trigger and 20 seconds after the event trigger.
What happens after an abusive video event is recorded by SMARTI?
  1. This video event is stored as a separate file from the continuous video---it is not overwritten
  2. If the SMARTI has a wireless modem, a low resolution video of the 40 second event is emailed or texted out to up to 5 respondents.
  3. A supervisor receiving the video opens it on his smart phone and views the video of the abusive event unfolding before him
What is stored on the SMARTI SD card?
  1. The continuous video---synchronized for both the front and optional external camera---auto overwrite
  2. Time and date stamped event generated video. Is not overwritten, must be deleted by user
  3. An event generated video file can be saved to a PC in the drivers record file.
How do I view the video on the SD cards?
  • Open the front camera enclosure with key provided to prevent unauthorized access to the SD cards.
  • Remove the SD cards from the camera enclosure
  • Take the SD cards back to your PC and insert into SD card reader and insert into USB port
  • FREE software is installed on your PC---this is used to view the video content.
What is the SMARTI software used for?
  • Viewing the continuous video in real time, 2X, 4X, 8X and 16X real speed.
  • Viewing the event generated abuse videos
  • Creating the profile for each SMARTI---forklift (name, serial number etc)
  • Creating settings (impact sensitivity, triggers, GPS)
  • Creating wireless settings
How does the optional IR night vision camera work?
  • It plugs into the main camera enclosure
  • It can be mounted facing any position you prefer
  • It is weatherproof, so it can be mounted outside
  • When low light conditions come, the camera illuminates its IR LEDs and "lights up" the surroundings
  • When in low light conditions, the camera records video in a green " military" look
What kind of things could I see from viewing continuous video?
  • If you suspected drivers of not properly doing their daily checklist------you could speed up the video up to 16X and slow when you reach the part where the checklist is done.
  • If you suspected drivers of "sleeping" on the job --reviewing continuous video would expose this.
  • If you suspected drivers of taking the "long way" to pick up a load--reviewing continuous video would expose this.
  • If you suspected drivers of talking on their cell phones--reviewing continuous video would expose this.
How does the GPS work?
  • It records the longitude and latitude coordinates synchronized with the camera video
  • When you view the event or continuous video, you can see the GOOGLE Maps location in map or earth views on the software synchronized with video of the vehicle.
Does the GPS work indoors?
  • No, the front camera must have access to the sky for satellite fixes.
Can I add an external LCD display to the SMARTI?
  • Yes, with the optional color LCD display you could use the SMARTI as a back up camera as well as recording camera.
  • This would typically be the view from the 2nd external camera.
Is SMARTI hard to install?
  • No, Connect to power when ignition is on
  • Connect to alarm trigger from Keytroller device.
  • Mount main front and optional external camera. (brackets included)
Is SMARTI waterproof?
  • The main front camera is not---must be protected from heavy weather
  • The optional external IR camera is IP 67 ---weatherproof design
Is SMARTI affordable?
  • Yes! Basic SMARTI is under $600
  • Available from the better forklift dealers worldwide.

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
