Raymond wins Frost & Sullivan award

The Frost & Sullivan Manufacturing Leadership Council recently presented The Raymond Corporation with the Manufacturing Leadership Award in the Operational Excellence Leadership category.

Bibby Leasing helps heroes

Bibby Leasing's generous GBP2,000 (USD3,100) donation helped organisers raise over GBP10,000 (USD15,500) for Help for Heroes in a live charity auction at the FLTA Awards show this year.
The annual FLTA Awards, which reward excellence throughout the materials handling industry, selected Help for Heroes as the beneficiary of its charity drive.
John Bradshaw, senior sales manager of Bibby Leasing, says charity is a large and very important part of the company ethos and there is a genuine community spirit that drives a whole host of money-raising events, "from building wells in Tanzania, to parachuting and scaling peaks for a range of charities, most recently for Transaid".
Bibby Leasing's donation to Help for Heroes was also strongly influenced by company M.D Carol Robert, who has a strong family connection to the military, including her father, brother, son-in-law and father-in-law, who is a retired bomb disposal expert.
Since 2007, Help for Heroes has been able to support hundreds of men and women who have been wounded, injured or become sick in the United Kingdom armed forces.

MHI welcomes non-members

For the first time, industry group MHI will open up its conference to non-MHI members.
The MHI 2015 Executive Summit & Annual Conference on October 4-7 in Ponte Vedra, Florida will also offer free admission to first-time attendees.
"The goal is to bring the industry (members and non-members) together to collaborate and develop into a growing community that shares knowledge and addresses current and future manufacturing and supply chain challenges and opportunities," says CEO George Prest.
According to organisers, all sessions at the conference will focus on innovations that are transforming traditional supply chains into next generation models.??
The content of this year's event was developed to address innovations that were examined in the recently published MHI 2015 Annual Industry Report and US Roadmap for Material Handling & Logistics.
The conference will also include MHI Solutions and Product Group meetings.
MHI is an international trade association that has represented the materials handling and logistics industry since 1945. MHI members include materials handling, logistics and supply chain equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, publishers, and third-party logistics providers.
