The British Industrial Trucks Association (BITA) has made two new key appointments to its board: Stan Harris
of Linde Material Handling and Jan Lorenz
Harris, managing director of Linde East and Scotland, has been with Linde for approaching a decade and brings a wealth of experience to his new role, which involves Board responsibility for the BITA Academy through which the industry's joint apprenticeship scheme is run.
Jan Lorenz joined the BITA board last year after his appointment as managing director of Jungheinrich UK, and brings 10 years' experience with the Jungheinrich Group in a variety of management roles. He will be responsible for the Truck Suppliers' Group (TSG), which includes virtually all of the companies supplying industrial trucks in the UK today, and examines the range of issues and policies which affect manufacturers and distributors.

NACCO Materials Handling Group has appointed Mike Parkin
as the new Hyster Big Trucks sales manager, serving the Scandinavian region. Parkin joins the Hyster Big Trucks team from UK Hyster distribution partner Briggs Equipment UK. He has also previously worked for Barloworld Handling and Kalmar.

Flow-Rite has hired Kim Parkinson
as central regional manager. His sales territory covers Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba, Canada. Parkinson comes to Flow-Rite with over 35 years of materials handling experience, most recently as the CEO and vice-president of Doosan Industrial Vehicle America in Suwanee, Georgia.
Meanwhile, Rob McKnight
joins the company as southern regional manager. His sales territory covers Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. In his role, McKnight will work with existing and new distributors to increase business and educate on Flow-Rite product.
