Shanghai Hyster Forklift Ltd has chosen Trelleborg Wheel Systems as its OEM partner.

Nicolas Nolle, director of global OEM business for Trelleborg Wheel Systems Industrial Tires, and Richard Lim, managing director of Shanghai Hyster Forklift Ltd, signed the agreement between the two companies in Shanghai on 29 October.

Richard Wang, national sales manager of Trelleborg's industrial tyres operation in China, says: "We have built a solid relationship and partnership with Hyster in Europe and North America and look forward to doing the same in China."

"We chose to hold our signing ceremony during CeMAT Asia as this event represents the exciting and dynamic Chinese materials handling industry and we believe our partnership with Hyster reflects this perfectly," Wang explains.

Separately, Trelleborg has launched a new wheel systems website for Mexico and Central America. Andrea Masella, Trelleborg Wheel Systems' Americas marketing manager, says the website is a useful tool for its customers in Mexico and Central America. "It is a place for us to share local initiatives, promotions, contact information, testimonials and test results."

The new website also includes an extensive technical section where visitors can learn about tyre maintenance, pressure setting and other tyre-related topics.

Trelleborg boasts that it also has an active presence on the social media channels like Facebook and YouTube. It offers apps for professional farmers including the Trelleborg Load Calculator, which is available in 13 different languages.
