Gathering for Doosan Industrial Vehicle America

Doosan Industrial Vehicle America Corp recently gave dealers a peek at new products and recognised Mid-Columbia Forklift Inc, Cervus Equipment Corp and CE-DFW Warehouse Solutions as top performing dealers.

Dealers viewed Doosan's new Productivity Series, an expanded Class 3 lineup, a new pantograph reach truck and the latest Doosan Tier IV diesel engines during the organisation's dealer meeting on 18-20 September in a Henderson, Nevada resort near Las Vegas. The event brought together dealer representatives from the Suwanee-based business from the US, Canada and Puerto Rico and included discussions about dealer and product support and presentations on strategic marketing.

"We revealed our revolution to a new, stronger Doosan Industrial Vehicle America Corp that is better positioned to support our dealers and help drive their business," says Tony Jones, chief executive officer of the unit of the Seoul, South Korea-based Doosan Corp Industrial Vehicle business.

During an awards dinner, Doosan Industrial Vehicle America identified high performing dealers receiving a Doosan diamond award and launched a new Doosan summit award, initially identifying Mid-Columbia, Cervus and CE-DFW as the three top-performing dealers in the distribution network.

"We appreciate the loyalty, support and commitment from our dealers," Jones says. "Dealers left motivated and excited by all of the new products and encouraged by a stronger relationship" with Doosan.

With operations in Washington State, Mid-Columbia Forklift has its headquarters in Yakima and other locations in Wenatchee, Pasco and, through its MidCo materials handling division, Auburn. In addition to Doosan, the dealership represents the Clark, Toyota, Big Joe, Princeton, Kalmar, Sellick, Advance, Factory Cat, Taylor-Dunn and Cushman brands of equipment.

Cervus Equipment, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has nine forklift dealerships across western Canada, representing the Doosan, Clark and Sellick brands. The facilities are in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie and Red Deer, Alberta; Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Cervus is a major John Deere agricultural equipment dealer and also represents the Bobcat, JCB, Peterbilt, PowerBoss and JLG brands.

CE-DFW began representing Doosan in late 2010 and says it is the largest Doosan forklift dealer in Texas. In addition to Doosan, the dealership sells Donkey trailer-mounted forklifts, Genie aerial lifts, PowerAmp dock products, Dynaco high-speed doors, Bluff dock equipment, Schaefer warehouse cooling products and Fairborn USA equipment. CE-DFW is based now in Grapevine, Texas and is near customers operating in the Gainesville, Denton, Dallas and Fort Worth markets.
