RTITB's Accreditation Toolkit
RTITB's Accreditation Toolkit
RTITB launches toolkit Telford, United Kingdom RTITB has introduced a new resource to help training providers meet the standards set down in the Approved Code of Practice. From initial training records to risk assessments, RTITB's Accreditation Toolkit collects, on one flash drive, forms used throughout the training lifecycle to help organisations maintain best practice and give employers confidence in purchasing RTITB training. Laura Nelson, operations director at RTITB, says the forms will "give instructors the time to get on with doing what they do best, safe in the knowledge that they are meeting the standards required for RTITB accreditation". CFTS lends support United Kingdom CFTS (Consolidated Fork Truck Services) is urging managers and supervisors to be vigilant when it comes to Thorough Examination in response to their greater responsibilities. CFTS chairman Mike Mathias explains: "In the Health and Safety Executive's updated forklift safety guidance document, management's duty to ensure a safe working environment is highlighted. "Thorough Examination is one of the areas of responsibility specifically covered by the revised documentation. "For those who fail to meet the required safety standards, there is a risk of prosecution. In addition, managers and supervisors may also find their companies subject to fees which the HSE can charge, under recently granted powers, for its intervention to resolve material breaches of the law," Mathias adds. To help managers and supervisors avoid this situation with their Thorough Examination, the CFTS website (thoroughexamination.org) contains advice and a member finder app, which points visitors to CFTS- accredited companies in their area.
