The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has announced the appointment of Tony Mohan as the association's new chairman.

Mohan takes over from John Maguire, who had held the role since 2011.

Mohan joined Bibby Distribution in 1988 and has held various positions within the business, from operational roles through to the business development function.

Roger Williams, UKWA's chief executive officer, says: "Tony bring a wealth of third-party logistics industry experience to the UKWA chairman's role, which will prove highly beneficial to the association and our members. I would also like to thank John Maguire for his tireless work on behalf of the association during his time as chairman."

Founded in 1944, UKWA has over 600 members providing storage and third-party logistics services, and represents the industry to both commerce and government.

Separately, the UKWA has just announced the winners of its 2014 Awards.
