Jungheinrich AG has announced its consolidated net sales for the 2013 financial year totaled EUR2.29 billion (USD3.17 billion), slightly higher than the previous year's EUR2.27 billion (USD3.15 billion).
The company posted earnings before interest and taxes of about EUR172 million (USD238 million) or 2.8% lower than the prior year's EUR177 million (USD245 million). The value of incoming orders rose to EUR2.357 billion (USD3.267 billion), 4.7% higher than the previous year's EUR2.251 billion (USD3.12 billion).
Jungheinrich will publish detailed information about its 2013 business activities at its annual press conference on 26 March.
Meanwhile, Jungheinrich UK Ltd has appointed
Adam Cafe to its sales team. Cafe has over 13 years' experience in the event and exhibition sector. He will further develop the company's presence in the events and exhibition industry as event hire manager.
Used equipment and short-term rental director Neil Warren says: "Adam has a great understanding of how the events industry works and what is expected by the companies that operate within it. He will play a key role in establishing Jungheinrich as the materials handling equipment brand of choice for the event hire sector."
Jungheinrich UK Ltd supplies materials handling equipment to "some of the UK's most prestigious indoor and outdoor events" and has over 4,000 forklift trucks, telehandlers and other plant available for short-term rental. The average age of the trucks in the company's fleet is less than two years old.
