Delta-Q Technologies will introduce its new IC650TM Industrial Battery Charger to the European materials handling industry at LogiMAT 2014.
Delta-Q Technologies is located in
Hall 8, Stand 507.

The IC650 Charger is a 650 watt industrial battery charger designed with several innovations that will benefit manufacturers and end users of electric pallet trucks, pallet stackers, burden carriers, utility vehicles, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). This new charger can operate on any single phase electrical grid in the world with an AC operating range of 85-270 VAC.

Lift trucks are exposed to many risk factors, including liquid ingress, condensation from thermal cycling, and extreme shock and vibration that can damage on-board chargers. The IC650 incorporates a new type of enclosure for battery chargers-die cast aluminum that protects the charger's internal components, sealed to an IP66 rating. This innovation makes the IC650 a highly durable product for on-board installation on a lift truck, fully sealed against liquids and protected against vibration.

"The materials handling market was our focus in designing the IC650 Charger. At 650 watts, it has an ideal power level to charge smaller electric drive equipment. We studied the market and built this charger from the ground up to maximize durability," says Ken Fielding, President and CEO of Delta-Q.

The IC650 Charger also features a USB host port, which allows charge cycle data to be downloaded, and new charger firmware and charging profiles to be updated using a commonly available USB flash drive. This enables manufacturers to determine how machines are used by their customers to improve future products and validate battery warranty claims. Costly service calls may be avoided when a facility's employee can download the charging data and e-mail it to the manufacturer.

Lift truck manufacturers have the option to select charger features, such as CAN bus communications and a variety of charger connectors to seamlessly integrate the charger into their products.

The IC650 uses Delta-Q's QuiQTM battery charging profiles, which are optimized through extensive testing to provide a precise battery charge based on the battery chemistry and its manufacturer. These charge profiles allow charging to occur quickly, yet carefully, maximizing battery life and performance. Delta-Q has charging profiles available for most popular lead acid (flooded / AGM / GEL) and lithium ion batteries.

Delta-Q will be introducing the IC650 Charger to the European materials handling industry at LogiMAT 2014 in Stuttgart, Germany. The company is exhibiting in Hall 8, Stand 507 from 25-27 February 2014.
